CEMswell Hydrophilic Swelling Rubber
CEMswell is an expanding joint sealing profile designed for sealing prefabricated concrete elements in foundations, tunnels and mine shafts against water ingress. It is an extruded TPE-based compound made from rubber, hydrophilic resin, polyethylene, silicone and special admixtures. On contact with water, it is capable of swelling up to four times its own volume, and with reversible expansion capability.
System Benefits:
- Designed to stop water ingress through prefabricated concrete elements up to 5 bar hydrostatic pressure
- Dimensionally stable through expansion process; expansion is reversible
- Can be installed with CEM805 adhesive or mechanically with fitting bards or rails
Applications:
- Prefabricated concrete elements in basements/foundations, tunnels, mine shafts and other below grade applications
